The areas we support:
We offer support to those whose marriages have failed
We encourage contacts in parishes to develop ways to celebrate marriage.
We hold an annual Marriage celebration Mass
We provide training to those who support the dying or bereaved
We work with families in developing a spirituality at home
We offer support to baptism catechists
We have launched a grandparents association
We work with the safeguarding team to raise awareness of domestic abuse
World Meeting of Familtes - August 2018
We are privileged that the next World Meeting of Families will be held in Dublin from 22nd - 26th August 2018. The event (held every three years) will consist of a joyful & reflective programme of workshops, talks & discussions for adults & young people with fun activities for children. From 22nd-224th ugust will be a 3-day congress with Daily celebration of the Eucharist, prayerful activities, keynote speakers, workshops & exhibitions on the theme: "The Gospel of the Family: Joy for the World"; chosen by Pope Francis.
On the evening of 25th August there will be a Festival of Families and on 26th August, to conclude, Mass with the Holy Father. Registration will open shortly.. See www.worldmeeting2018.ie
Synod on the Family:
Pope Francis finalised the intense two-year process of the Synod on The Vocation and Mission of the Family in the Church and contemporary World with the publication of the Apostolic Exhortation: Amoris Laetitia, “On Love in the Family”. The purpose and approach of the Synod was pastoral, recognizing that the Church can do more to help and support marriage and the family in their joys and sufferings. Aware that countless challenges face families today, this document expresses hope and faith in families, and is written in a spirit of encouragement and accompaniment by the pastors of the Church.

With monthly functions such as picnics and games, and lots of friendly faces, you’ll never have to say that again. In a Family Group, you will find support and encouragement. 'How to support your grandchildren in dealing with their perception of failure'
Led by Fr Stephen Ortiger and Elizabeth O'Shea on the spiritual and practical support of grandchildre in dealing with their perception of failure.
