Job Description: Our Lady of Lourdes (OLOL) Coordinator (P/T)

Responsible to: Parish Priest

Hours: £16 per hour, 12 hours a week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings. The role can be term time only, for the right candidate.

Our Lady of Lourdes, Thames Ditton is recruiting a part-time Coordinator. The successful candidate will have excellent secretarial, IT and organisational skills so as to take a proactive role in managing all aspects of the Our Lady of Lourdes office management, hall administration, ad hoc building needs, as well as working as part of the shared parish of Esher and Thames Ditton team, with the Parish Priest and the PPC in realising the vision of the parish.  

Knowledge and Experience Required:

- Relevant administration / secretarial experience required

- Advanced MS Office Skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher)

- Familiarity with electronic communications and social media platforms essential

- Experience with updating websites desirable

- Familiarity with the workings of Catholic Parish essential

- Experience of maintaining building plant desirable

Essential Skills/Attributes

- Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to manage through strong interpersonal skills

- Must have excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritise work

- Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure, managing a busy workload

- A self-starter with ability to work largely unsupervised and under own initiative

- Proven attention to detail and highly accurate in work

- Must have proven capability of being discreet and confidential
