Our diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes marks its 50th anniversary in 2024. To commemorate the anniversary, the Lourdes Office are collecting photos and testimonies to celebrate and record the many ways in which the pilgrimage has transformed and changed the lives of people across our community of faith.
The team hope to use these special memories to create a book and would love to hear your stories! Pilgrimage Director Alex Manko says:
"If you are willing to share a testimony with us, please send us an email. We are looking for short stories of 200-500 words expressing a particular memory, testimony, or effect that Lourdes has had on your life, or the life of a loved one. If you would rather not write your story yourself, you are welcome to arrange a call and we will write it up for you. We’d love to hear from as many people as possible - whether you’ve been to Lourdes once, or every year, everyone is invited to share their story. We will try to include as many as we can!"
Have you got pilgrimage photos to share for our 50th anniversary book? The Lourdes Office would welcome 5-10 of your favourite photos - please note that the team need your written consent (and the consent of those pictured) to include them.
Please email stories and photos to the Lourdes team by by 31 December 2023.
