A Roman Requiem for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

September 12, 2022

People from all over Rome gathered at the Venerable English College on Sunday for a Solemn Requiem Mass for the Repose of the Soul of Queen Elizabeth. The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Richard Moth and Archbishop Mark O'Toole who were in Rome for a catechetical conference at the Vatican. A spokesperson from the College said:

"We were very honoured to have present Mr Chris Trott, British Ambassador to the Holy See, representing His Majesty the King and the UK Government, and Archbishop Ian Ernest, Director of the Anglican Centre. You can see the flag outside the College with the black mourning ribbons that represent "half-masting", and the Book of Condolence that was signed by our many guests."

Deacon John Harman and Deacon Simon South from the diocesan Formation Team assisted Bishop Richard and Archbishop Mark O'Toole in the celebration of the Mass.
