Making the small switch to Fairtrade supports producers in protecting the future of some of our most-loved food and the planet.
During Fairtrade Fortnight thousands of individuals, companies and groups across the UK come together to share the stories of the people who grow our food and drinks, mine our gold and who grow the cotton in our clothes - people who are often exploited and underpaid. Arundel & Brighton has been a Fairtrade Diocese since 2005 and has its own diocesan Fairtrade Group which meets twice a year to encourage our churches and schools to achieve Fairtrade status; at present just over 50% have done this but others are needed to join in. This is entirely in keeping with CAFOD's Live Simply programme. The Diocese has adopted a clear Fairtrade policy which can be seen here.
If you would like to join the diocesan Fairtrade Group, please contact Susan Joy, our Fairtrade Group Convenor here.
