A particularly joyful feature of our annual pilgrimage to Lourdes is the music that pilgrims share at Mass, at other liturgies, at the Redshirts’ presentation, at the music concert and on many other occasions during the week. This year, people from across our Diocese are invited to come together at Worth Abbey on Saturday 26 October at 2pm for a Pilgrimage "Big Sing", celebrating the music of the Pilgrimage.
Many people have found their call to ministry in church music while in Lourdes; with countless more moved by the words, music or the many voices and instruments of the talented musicians who play and sing on our annual Diocesan Pilgrimage - which celebrated it’s 50th Anniversary this year.
During this Saturday's celebration, the congregation will become the choir, singing favourites like Out of Darkness and 10,000 Reasons. There will also be some solo pieces performed along the way.
Our Pilgrimage Team hope that the Big Sing, in the beautiful surroundings of Worth Abbey, will provide a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow pilgrims and share memories of Lourdes, while raising our voices in praise of the Lord
Refreshments will be available from 1pm so you can catch up with old (and new) friends before the singing begins. If you would like to come along, please sign up here everyone is welcome!
