The Faith Companion is a bi-monthly magazine aimed at accompanying Catholic parishioners on their faith journey. Its purpose is to be an interface between Faith and life. The editors explain that:

"Our goal is simply to make our Faith accessible to everyone; offering companionship, understanding and clarity as we journey together. Faith should not be lived in isolation; as a community we encourage and enrich each other so that we are more equipped and empowered as children of God."

Each edition of the magazine explores several key areas through the treasure revealed to us through our Faith can be discovered:

1. Encountering Tradition in which accessible articles on theology and Tradition will help parishioners to better understand their Faith. These are not intellectual or academic but, overall, will come from a place of experience aiming at practical application in ordinary life.

2. Encountering Scripture features articles with the aim of revealing its relevance to daily living showing how the Word of God can nourish the Faith journey and influence the living out of that Faith – spirituality. This will open up Scripture to all leading to an authentic life of Faith.

3. Exploring Prayer includes articles on different prayer practices, addressing problems in prayer and generally considering what a life of prayer and growth in relationship with God looks like.

4. Saints and Spiritualities explores prominent saints, their lives and main contributions to our Faith and the differing spiritualities that arose around some.

5. Devotions are explored. From prominent Catholic devotions to family or individual devotions which develop to enhance authentic spirituality. This is where people share what they or the Church do to make Faith more alive.

6. Faith Stories include stories of some "big names" who have made impacted the Church, major individual conversion experiences to small encounters with God making visible the action of God in peoples’ lives.

7. Graces Received are stories of those direct special encounters with God’s Spirit which changed a life or revealed something new about God. This is where the Holy Spirit has truly touched a life and God’s voice was heard.

8. Faith in Action shares stories show the array of ways in which people respond to God’s call to live out the Gospel message, to be the face of Christ to others living out the Church’s Catholic Social Teaching.

9. Q&A answers questions that perhaps parishioners were unable to get answers anywhere else. If you have questions you would like discussed, you are invited to send them to E: enquiries@thefaithcompanion.co.uk and The Faith Companion will do its best to answer them. All of the magazine's content is approved by theologian and biblical scholar Fr Richard Ounsworth O.P.

10. Reviews include book reviews, but also video and film reviews to promote Catholic culture in a secular world.

The Faith Companion is a Community Interest Company (CIC) means that it exists to serve the Catholic Church and as such it must legally give back two thirds of any profits back to the Catholic Church, and intends that those profits be for the education and training of the laity. The CIC's vision is to accompany Catholics on their Faith journeys in partnership to enable  transformative encounter with Our Lord Jesus Christ in order to enrich His Church.
