Former St Richard’s Catholic College, Bexhill, pupil, Joseph Zillwood, has won the prestigious Sara Berman Award for Works on Paper in the Expanded Field of Drawing this week. Joseph’s fantastic artwork was chosen from 100 applicants for the prize which includes £300 Cass Art voucher, work experience at Sara Berman’s London studio and mentorship from the artist. Last year, Joseph was graded a level 9 at GCSE Fine Art and is currently studying Art & Design Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma Level 3 at Bexhill College.

Sara is a visual artist with an MFA from Slade School of Art. Her practice focuses on painting and textiles and she has shown widely in London, New York, Hong Kong, LA. Her work is held in important private collections worldwide. See more of Sara’s work here.
