Bishop Richard celebrated the annual "Governors’ Commissioning Mass" at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Redhill this week. The evening began with Bishop Richard speaking about the Jubilee Year, followed by a number of updates from the diocesan Education Service. School Governors serve their communities and play an invaluable part in the leadership of our schools; the role is diverse, rewarding, challenging, and fulfilling, allowing post holders to share their time, skills and talents within a school setting - with training and support provided.
Addressing attendees during his homily, Bishop Richard thanked all those present for their ministry, urging school governors to model themselves on St Joseph, who was steadfast and faithful in doing God’s will.
