On Sunday 29 July, St Richard’s Catholic Primary School in Chichester celebrated the induction of Peter Edgington and Sydney Bridges as Executive Head and Head of School in a joyful Mass celebrated by Bishop Richard.

Governors and staff participated in the Mass, in St Richard's Church, and pupils sang A Prayer of St Richard of Chichester composed by LJ White. Deanery and Bosco Catholic Education Trust colleagues were also present in a congregation that numbered over 350, many of whom joined the celebrations afterwards in the school hall. A beautiful cake illustrated the school mission statement, ‘Know, Love, Serve.’

It was also a special occasion as on that day, Bishop Richard also celebrated fifteen years ordained as Bishop.
