Is your parish planning to celebrate World Meeting of Famillies 2022?

February 4, 2022

Our Marriage and Family Life team, Simon South and Katherine Bergin, are inviting people across our many wonderful parishes to join the World Meeting of Families 2022 online, and at a local level within their parish. Highlighting the upcoming celebrations, Deacon Simon writes:

"Historically, part of the joy of coming together, involved the physical travel of families to a location somewhere across the world; the last event was held in Dublin and this year was planned to be in Rome, but for obvious reasons the concept of travelling together from across the globe is not the best of ideas in the current circumstances.
The Vatican and our Bishop are still very keen for the celebration of family life to go ahead this year, but within our own parishes. There will be lots of webinars, Liturgies, and talks available via the Vatican on Zoom with details available here.
To prepare ourselves and to think about what we can do at a local level, the Diocese are holding a planning and idea sharing webinar on Monday 28 February at 7.30pm - could a representative from your parish join us on the evening? The meeting will explore the focus of the event, with a chance to share your ideas about how to promote and celebrate the vocation of family life within your parish."
