The community of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Primary School, Crawley past and present, gathered to say "thank you and goodbye" to Jan Miles, much loved Deputy Head, who retires after 27 years at the school and an even longer association with Catholic education in the Diocese.

Jan was joined by her family and the pupils led a wonderful assembly, which was followed by a liturgy on the field, celebrated by Fr Nelson Daniel. Jan was awarded a diocesan medal for her services to Catholic education, and everyone wished her well for a happy and healthy retirement.

Our Lady Queen of Heaven School is a two-form entry primary school and has been part of the Catholic community of Crawley for over 65 years.
