Be part of our Corpus Christi team at Arundel Cathedral! The Cathedral is planning to lay a Carpet of Flowers for the Feast of Corpus Christi again this year after a two year hiatus, and would be delighted if volunteers from around the Diocese would come and boost their ranks to help with the preparations.
Volunteering provides a wonderful opportunity to work and chat with people from across our wonderful community, with a range of rewarding roles to fulfil including cutting flowers heads, welcoming visitors, serving teas, sweeping up, stewarding during the procession - and much more.
Preparations for this wonderful event begin on Monday 13 June, with the Carpet on display to the public on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 June (Mass takes place at 5.30pm on the 16, followed by a procession to the Castle).
Can you help to make this special occasion a success by offering a few hours of your time? To join the Cathedral's Corpus Christi Team as a volunteer please complete this short form or contact Louise in the Cathedral Office

The famous Arundel Cathedral Carpet of Flowers began in 1877. The tradition was broken briefly during the First World War, before being revived in 1919, it then continued for 100 years until the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. The was a 'mini carpet' in 2021, with 2022 the first year since Covid that a full carpet will be undertaken.
