Members of the diocesan Formation Team were delighted to welcome two of our seminarians, Gary Carter and Scott Coleman, to their fortnightly team meeting at The St Philip Howard Centre on Thursday last week. The Formation Team shared updates on their work streams and projects, with Gary and Scott highlighting the insight and experience they have gained during their time as seminary students. Speaking after the meeting Gary said:
"I am currently on an Extended Pastoral Year in the parish of Christ the Prince of Peace, Weybridge. This year has not only been an enjoyable experience but one that has been very pastorally formative. Being immersed in the life of a parish has helped to connect what has been learned in seminary to the lived experience of the people of God."
Scott added:
"I have enjoyed an excellent year on Extended Pastoral Placement in Guildford; to meet, get to know, and pray with, and for, so many kind and faithful people. I’ve also been really grateful to get to know much more about the diverse, exciting and prayerful life of our diocese."
