Bognor Regis and Slindon parish were recently awarded a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund enabling them to make their community spaces more inclusive by installing new audio-visual equipment – their successful application saw the parish receive over £9,900.
Does your parish run community projects or outreach initiatives? Is your church community planning to start a new project, or continue with vital initiatives you are already running? If so, you could be eligible to apply for funding to support your work.
Projects that are particularly favoured by grant making bodies include those focussing on: supporting vulnerable members of the community, the elderly, and women and children. Perhaps your parish has an upcoming property project that will improve the parish space, making it more user friendly for the community, or a project that would reduce the environmental impact of your building? Initiatives like these could be eligible for an award of up to £10,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund. Similarly, if your parish is within 10 miles of a landfill site, and your planned project reduces the environmental impact of the parish, you could be eligible for a Landfill Community Fund Grant from the Veolia Trust.
We are extremely keen to find out more about the wonderful parish projects and initiatives taking place across our Diocese.
