Each year, the Diocese of Arundel & Brighton takes more than 700 pilgrims to Lourdes to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes. Our group includes pilgrims who are sick, disabled, frail or elderly and need our help to make the journey. Our pilgrimage is 'Love in Action', we journey to Lourdes to serve each other and to renew our commitment to walk with Jesus Christ with the help of Our Lady and St Bernadette. You can follow the pilgrimage using the pilgrimage handbook, here:
This year, the 849 pilgrims began arriving in Lourdes on Thursday 25 July, by plane, by train, by coach, by car, by Jumbulance – even by bicycle! – and all should be in Lourdes by the early hours of Saturday 27 July.
