Sister Clare FMSL lives near the Good Shepherd Parish in Hollington near Hastings. She will be taking to skies on 4 June to raise money for the homelessness charity Crisis, speaking about the upcoming Wing Walk, Sister Clare said:
"I am happy to be raising sponsorship for a Wing walk challenge at Damyns Hall Aerodrome, Essex, in aid of the valuable work of Crisis, the national charity for homeless people. The event has had to be postponed due to coronavirus prevention measures and health issues from the planned date of 6th June 2020. It has now been rescheduled for 4th June 2022."
"A tree has been planted in the garden of our convent near Hastings to offset the carbon emissions for the short flight. In 2017, I really enjoyed the experience of a sponsored tandem skydive for a local homeless charity. The Wing Walk is a new challenge for me. If you are able to show your support with a small donation it will also help Crisis towards its goal of ending homelessness... the actual total raised so far is £1,693.00 Every little helps - thank you very much."
The Diocese wishes Sr Clare lots of luck - we look forward to hearing how the Wing Walk went!
