Congratulations to St Cuthbert’s, a one-form entry Catholic primary school in Englefield Green and St Joseph’s, a three-form entry Catholic primary school in Guildford who joined the Xavier Catholic Education Trust (CET) on 1 December 2023.

The schools become the sixteenth and seventeenth schools in the Xavier Trust, joining the other Xavier primary academies: Holy Family in Addlestone, St Charles Borromeo in Weybridge, Cardinal Newman in Hersham, St Alban’s in Molesey, St Anne’s in Chertsey, St Thomas of Canterbury in Guildford, St Cuthbert Mayne in Cranleigh, St Augustine’s in Frimley, St Hugh of Lincoln in Knaphill, The Marist in West Byfleet, St Edmund’s in Godalming and St Polycarp’s in Farnham, and the three secondary academies: St Peter’s in Guildford, Salesian in Chertsey and SJB in Woking, in the Xavier Trust.

Catholic schools in Arundel & Brighton have a long tradition of working collaboratively. Xavier Catholic Education Trust was established in September 2016 to bring together more formally any Catholic schools in Surrey that wished to do so. Both Xavier CET and Bosco CET in Sussex seek to further enhance and strengthen the partnership between our Catholic family of schools and to preserve and protect all that we value and cherish in our communities.
