Following a successful bid to the Department for Education, Xavier Catholic Education Trust (CET) have secured £800k of capital funding to expand the highly successful and nationally recognised Sixth Form at St Peter’s, Guildford. This grant has enabled the school to transform an unused area of land to expand its ever-popular Sixth Form provision.

The resulting building has added 400m2 of quiet study zones and classrooms, ensuring state-of-the-art facilities for pupils who choose 16-19 study at the school. This project completes a two-year redevelopment of the Sixth Form facilities, which now occupy a dedicated area of the school site, with bespoke teaching and study spaces alongside fully landscaped outdoor relaxation and study areas.

As a result of this expansion, 30 more students will be able to access and benefit from the excellent learning opportunities St Peter’s provides. It is a great example of how Xavier CET continues to collaborate with its schools in its mission to provide an excellent Catholic education for all the students in their care. They do this so that each member of the Trust family can pursue their calling, to make a difference that makes the part of the world they occupy a better place.
