The Venerable English College in Rome has requested prayers for their six new seminarians, among their number is Barnabus Mercer from our Diocese. A spokesperson from the College said:
"We are so pleased to start the new formation year, and to welcome six new seminarians... Please pray for Nico, Stuart, Lukas, Barnabas, Brian and Stephen as they begin their Roman life together. They have two weeks of induction and Italian before the rest of the house returns in time for our annual retreat. Last night we prayed together in front of St Peter's Basilica and dedicated our year to the Lord, asking for the intercession of St Peter, Apostle and Martyr."
Fr David King recently departed the parish of The Holy Name in Esher to begin a Licentiate in Scriptural Theology in Rome. Fr David can be seen back left of the image shared by the College. To find out more about our diocesan seminarians please click here.
